Data Deletion Instructions
You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time, and you can disconnect any connected service. This page tells you exactly how to make a request and what happens next. These instructions apply globally, in every jurisdiction, and at no charge.
How to request deletion of your data
Choose any one of these methods:
- Email us. Send an email to privacy@impulsion.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". In the body, tell us the email address or account you used and that you want your data deleted. We will confirm receipt, verify your identity, and complete the deletion within 30 days (or sooner where required by law).
- Request deletion of your whole account. While signed in to Impulsion, you can submit an account-deletion request (or use the email method above). We record your request and give you a confirmation code, verify your identity, and delete the data associated with your account within 30 days (or sooner where required by law).
- Disconnect a connected service in the app. Go to Settings → Connections and disconnect the relevant service (bank/Plaid, Stripe, QuickBooks, Google, or Meta). Disconnecting stops further access and triggers deletion of the data we hold for that connection (see below).
What happens after you request deletion
Once we verify your request, we delete or de-identify the personal data we hold about you. We may retain a limited amount of information where the law requires or permits it — for example, records we must keep for tax, accounting, anti-fraud, or legal-hold reasons — and any data that has already been de-identified. We will tell you if any data is retained and the legitimate reason for it.
Deleting data held by connected services
Bank & financial data (Plaid)
When you disconnect a financial account in Impulsion, we stop accessing it and remove the connection from Plaid, which triggers Plaid's deletion of the data held for that connection (subject to Plaid's lawful retention exceptions). You can also ask Plaid directly to access or delete the data Plaid holds about you using Plaid's Privacy Request Form, and you can review your connections in the Plaid Portal.
Google data (Gmail & Calendar)
You can request deletion of the Google user data we hold by using any method above, or by disconnecting Google in Settings → Connections. You can also revoke Impulsion's access at any time from your Google Account's third-party connections settings.
QuickBooks accounting data (Intuit)
Disconnect Impulsion from your QuickBooks company (in Settings → Connections or from the QuickBooks App Store). On disconnect we stop syncing and delete the QuickBooks data we hold for you, except where retention is legally required.
Payments data (Stripe)
We will delete the payments-related data we hold on request; note that Stripe, as the payment processor, retains certain transaction records as required by law and card-network rules. Stripe handles its own data under the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Stopping text messages
To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or email privacy@impulsion.io. Opting out of messages does not by itself delete your account data — use the methods above to delete your data.
Questions or to check status
To check the status of a request, reply to the confirmation email we send, or contact privacy@impulsion.io. If we are ever unable to fully delete certain data, we will tell you which data and the legitimate reason.
